No Vacancy: Vancouver Housing Crisis
Originally broadcast as part of a local investigative television series focusing on urban accessibility and affordability, No Vacancy: Vancouver’s Housing Crisis takes an in-depth look at Metro Vancouver’s acute housing shortage.
Hosted by Grant Hardy, the program shines a spotlight on how historically low vacancy rates and rising market rents impact vulnerable populations—particularly residents living with disabilities. Through interviews with municipal planners, advocates, and architects, the film examines the structural drivers of the housing crisis while showcasing emerging non-profit initiatives and universal design solutions aimed at building a more inclusive community.
